xelom Power Systems combines xelom’s core expertise in high-performance lithium-ion solutions with advanced high-voltage battery technology. A dedicated team develops and manages the energy system at the heart of the Snow Cat — ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and safety, even under the most demanding operating conditions.

From start-up to key expertise

Lanatec was founded in 2021 to develop innovative high-performance lithium-ion battery solutions. Within a short time, a highly skilled team with comprehensive battery expertise was established. Following the integration of xelom into the TechnoAlpin Group, the Lanatec team was incorporated into the holding structure to strategically expand expertise in high-voltage battery technology and electric mobility.

Today, a team of 12 specialists within the xelom Power Systems division is responsible for the Snow Cat’s energy system — from development and testing to long-term support. The focus is on performance, operational reliability, service life, and optimized design for intensive use in demanding environments.

The Battery – The Heart of the Snow Cat

The Snow Cat's battery is the basis for instantly available power, high efficiency, and reliable operational readiness. The modular battery architecture is continuously refined to further increase performance, robustness, and serviceability.

At the core is the in-house developed Battery Management System (BMS). This intelligent system monitors and controls all critical components, ensuring maximum efficiency, uncompromising safety, and extended battery life.

Temperature-stable cells & automatic thermal management

Temperature-stable battery cells are used to ensure that the Snow Cat remains powerful regardless of the outside temperature. An integrated thermal management system automatically regulates whether the battery needs to be heated or cooled. This ensures that the Snow Cat remains reliably operational in every situation – from deep winter temperatures to warm summer days.
